Marina Square gives back during the festive season

During the festive month of December, Marina Square collaborated with Children’s Wishing Well for a day of celebration and excitement. With a total of 39 children from Children’s Wishing Well, the children were treated to an amazing day with craft workshops, a live show featuring some classic favourite characters as well as an enjoyable time at an indoor playground!  Here’s what happened on that magical day.

Happy tummy at The Manhattan FISH MARKET

Prior to the activities, the boys and girls were treated to a scrumptious meal at The Manhattan FISH MARKET. As they mingle with their peers, they were treated to a well-balanced meal that nourishes and excites the taste buds. With more than 72 restaurants in Asia and the Middle East, The Manhattan FISH MARKET attributes their success and regional popularity to their fresh, flavourful and innovative offerings. To meet insatiable appetite for delicious seafood, The Manhattan FISH MARKET is constantly expanding and evolving with brand new restaurant interiors inspired by the famous Fulton Fish Market. A definite treat guaranteeing a happy tummy.

Live Show with Sesame Street

Marina Square brought the streets of Sesame Street right into the heart of the lion city last December. The children of Children’s Wishing Well were treated to a live show featuring some of their favourite characters like Elmo, Cookie Monster, The Count and Abby Cadabby. Every character performed their favourite Christmas tunes while showcasing their unique personality traits like Cookie Monster’s love for cookies, Abby twirling her magical wand and The Count reminiscing about his time in Transylvania. The children were entertained with various dance choreographies and sweet melodies. The Christmas cheer was at an all-time high as the characters sang and danced. They also invited the children to join them as they moved and grooved to Christmas tunes. A great dive into the Christmas Spirit indeed.

Art and Craft Workshop

Located at the central atrium, the children enjoyed arts and crafts as they created masks of their favourite Sesame Street characters like Big Bird, Bert, Ernie and Oscar the Grouch. With the help of Marina Square volunteers, the children created beautiful props which were used for photo sessions with the cast of the Sesame Street show. The children were also challenged to create the most colourful and creative poster as a souvenir.

Jolly good time at indoor playground Kiztopia

Before the end of the day, the boys and girls had a fun-filled playtime with their friends at Kiztopia, an in-door playground featuring 18 play concepts. The children enjoyed exploring every play zone, each with its own unique theme and challenge. For instance, mobility was challenged as the boys and girls climbed the two stories playground and stairwells, and coordination was challenged as the children sang and danced with the Kiztopia team at their mini shows happening in the middle of the playground. The children definitely had a ball of a in the playground.

Christmas Goodies

What is Christmas without presents? Before the day ended, the boys and girls gathered for one last time at the main atrium where each child from Children’s Wishing Well received exclusive Christmas goodie bags filled with stationery, soft toys, snacks and water bottles courtesy of Marina Square and its tenants.

It was indeed a magical day in which Marina Square, supported by all the participating outlets, collaborated with Children’s Wishing Well to celebrate the true spirit of Christmas. A festive end to a fantastic 2019.
